First Board of Directors Meeting of OURS IN THE USA
On January 11, 2025, OURS IN THE USA held its first official meeting of the Board of Directors.
During the session, the organization’s Bylaws were formally adopted, establishing the structure, principles, and powers of its governing body. The Board also approved several key administrative decisions essential for the organization’s future growth.
Through a general vote, the following officers were elected:
- Dmitrii Tur — President of the Board
- Kirill Surnachev — Vice President
- Danila Zelyuk — Treasurer
- Ivanka Osina-Fridman and Eugene Maysky — Secretaries
Newly elected President Dmitrii Tur emphasized the importance of this milestone:
“This day marks a new chapter of maturity and unity for our movement. OURS IN THE USA has grown from a mutual support chat into a structured organization with a mission — to protect, unite, and empower the Russian-speaking LGBTQI+ community in the United States. The adoption of our Bylaws and formation of the Board lay the foundation for our continued work.”
The adoption of the Bylaws and election of officers represent a key step in the institutional development of OURS IN THE USA as a nonprofit organization representing the Russian-speaking LGBTQI+ community across the United States.
